Imagine if you’ll get rid of your usb, external hard drives or any gadgets you need to backup your files. In other words backing up your data won’t need any physical resource available. That would be a big help right? Well, the good news is the technology is existent and it offers much more than backing up your valuable data in your pc. It’s like offsite backup or remote backup system, the only thing it differs is that it performs way better than those.

dropbox
I’ve been surfing the internet when I stumbled Dropbox, A service that offers great solutions for backing up data in your pc. Dropbox doesn’t just offers a backup system but syncs your files in your hardrives and backs it up automatically.Other than that you can share your data to your colleagues and friends making it an easy file sharing system ever. The file is saved in secure servers so you can get your files across different computers. What you just need is an application which you can download freely and the files you just backed up will be available to the computers which has the application installed. If you are thinking of sites like rapidshare or mediafire then you are definitely wrong since it automatically syncs the files to servers. A good example is when you are editing a document at home and saved the document you are working, in just a click you saved the same file to all your computer instantly and automatically.
Dropbox gives you a free 2gb hard disk space which can be upgraded to 100gb by adding $19.99/month. The 2gb hard disk space is enough for regular users so if you’re just looking for a place where you can store some of your photos or portable installers then Dropbox is more than enough to your daily needs. I’ve worked with it before and I’m impressed to the user friendliness of the interface, no coding and complex setups required. It’s like having a Windows OS in the internet, speaking of operating systems, Dropbox is available to other platforms too (MAC,Linux). If you have any questions then you can look for the details at Dropbox’s official website.
