Google Chrome Operating System unveiled
by Kyle on November 20, 2009
An update of Google Chrome Blog confirmed that Google Chrome Operating System has been released today. A youtube video showed during a conference showed a very brief demonstration of Chrome OS. From the looks of the video it’s much like a google chrome browser but with much improved performance in terms of functionality. Applications like word processors, spreadsheets are not installed in your computer and all data basically are stored in the internet. So if you are thinking about how you will do your office work then you will definitely depend on some of Google’s Application like Google Docs. From what I see the application menu which you’ll see in the upper left of the User Interface is the starting point in which you can access the applications in Chrome OS. They also highlight Panels, a persistent window in which you can use to help you manage your applications without affecting your internet activity(eg. viewing videos, reading ebooks).
