How to Backup Social and Online Accounts Easily

I believe that everybody knows how important backing up online data is. I truly understand that storing an extra copy of online data is not a basic thing to do but an essential task that everyone should be aware of. The existence of different social media applications and online accounts have boomed the internet and more people rely on it. Google’s services for example is such a great thing, having a free gmail account, free blog and a free office tool(google docs)  is a great blessing. Although I haven’t experienced any problems with regards to data loss in using different google applications and other web applications provided by different companies, I always make sure that I have an online backup of my data. The only problem with this is that organizing it is such a hassle. The good thing is that there’s now a solution for a hassle free backup management.

Backing up online data using another online service is the easiest and most hassle free thing you can do. That’s where Backupify comes, where organization of your backup data is just child’s play when you use them.

Registration is fairly easy, just a couple of minutes in filling up forms and then you’re done. You can choose if you want to use your own Amazon S3 account or you can choose the free one.  You’ll then be taken to your dashboard which shows the services you can easily integrate in backupify. The interface is really easy, the moment you see it you’ll definitely know what to do. I took a screenshot to the Regular Service that Backupify is currently supporting without any problems.

I’m totally impressed how backupify integrates the services above to make backing up data an easy task. If you click the “Manage” link you’ll have the option of adding several accounts that you want to backup. You just provide the password and username in some applications or authenticate some service for it to work. Take note that you’re in the settings page in managing the service. To view your backup files you have to go to the archive page and select the account you want to view.

Your first backup will take a couple of hours to see in the archive page. The schedule of backing up data can be set in a weekly or daily basis with an email to notify you that a backup is made.

Backupify is currently in beta and their service is totally free until January 31st. At the time of this writing there’s a total of 13 service you can use ( including beta service) and 4 services listed that backupify will support in the near future. Start using Backupify now and experience what kind of service they offer. I know you won’t regret it the moment you use Backupify.

I think online backup offers like Mozy is really useful and convenient.

You can subscribe for their free (unlimited in time) 2GB offer for you to try at this link: https://mozy.com/free/?code=NN32HH

That would be enough to most people to backup their most important documents (not photos/music/videos) on a distant server with regular incremental backup schedules, instead of using an external hard drive and sometimes forget to do the backup.

If you are totally satisfied with the service and need more disk space for your backups, you can buy their unlimited backup subscription on their website.
