MSi Ae2050 – AMD e350 powered desktop
by Kyle on March 26, 2011
I’ve been tracking MSi’s product releases and I know how active they are in manufacturing portable devices but this time their Wind Top AE2050 PC goes to the desktop route. It’s been official for the folks in the US but still no news if it’s going to be available in the Philippines but I’ve been positive to say that chances are high for the AE2050 to arrive in local market.
I’ve been seeing MSi PC’s in Mall of Asia with very similar Form factor like the Wind Top AE2050, Touchscreen – enabled, Big Display and good device for media consumption. The Wind Top AE2050 is not your average PC. I’ve been used to desktops as very powerful devices, way above the normal Notebooks you’ll find in the market but MSi’s approach is different and as I repeat again they are more concentrated for Media consumption.
MSi AE2050 is powered by AMD’s e350 which also powers it’s xslim counterpart which is the x370. It’s 20-inch Display is really big for the trained eyes of ultraportables and is decent for playing High Quality movies. What’s cool about it is that it’s power efficient consuming only 65 watts per hour (an effect of using AMD’s e350?). For faster data transfer the 2 USB 3.0 ports gives your demand for all the media files you want to share in your storage device. In addition to the package a 500gb 3.5″ SATA II hard drive and 2GB RAM is equipped in AE2050 preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Premium.
