HP Folio 13 now official

by Kyle on November 17, 2011

The leaked HP Folio 13 was indeed true and it was announced officially by HP the day after it was published in the interwebs. The specs even match and without a doubt legit, but anyway I’m not that surprise and given the matchups of ultrabooks right now, I could say that the HP Folio 13 was indeed a good addition to the current lineup of ultrabooks right now.

ASUS U32U another bang for the buck netbook

by Kyle on November 17, 2011

ASUS U32UThe HP Folio and the upcoming  releases of ultrabooks like the UX21 is just one sign that netbooks will ultimately be replaced in the future when SSDS come cheap. So before that happens netbook prices with ultimately good spec sheets will definitely pop out. One good example is this ASUS U32U netbook powered by AMD-E450 much like the Dell M102z priced around 20,000 Php (Straight conversion of 450$).

by Kyle on November 15, 2011

It comes unexpected again, RIM followed another batch of phones that will be released in another week and it seems that the Blackberry curve 9380 will be launched at the same time here in the Philippines. Good news for fellow Blackberry supporters looking for something new to the curve lineup, this time they made it in full touchscreen and now I wonder why the trackpad is still there and I can’t find any use of that.

Blackberry London leaked picture revealed

by Kyle on November 14, 2011

RIM’s attempt to reclaim it’s lost spot in smartphone market has been hard for the Canadian company. So far the units they release are very similar with little improvement on the OS side and users who’s been used to their berries are changing ship since the trend of user productivity is shifting more to user enjoyment or should I say entertainment. This is where blackberries fail and despite their touch based devices being released they never met their expectations in reality.

Nokia N9 finally launched and priced

by Kyle on November 9, 2011

It’s more than a month before I released my first Nokia N9 post and it seems that I lost track to the news. Good thing that the N9 will be available in the Philippines since other regions won’t be seeing the N9 on their telcos. The pricing of the N9 is something to consider about since it’s classified as a premium phone which is heavy on the budget for the average user.

HTC Edge rumored to be the first quadcore smartphone

by Kyle on November 7, 2011

HTC’s idea of giving a shot to a quad core smartphone maybe too much but that leads to a totally new dimension of computing since it will be pushing mobile OSes to the limit. If two cores seems to slow then put another two cores to give it a steroid and let it run like crazy. They say the rumored phone is HTC Edge and will run in 1.5ghz processor with all the goodies like beats audio, 1gb of RAM and 8mp camera capable of 720p HD playback.

Blackberry Curve 9360 at Php16990

by Kyle on November 5, 2011

Despite RIM’s continous decline of US Market Share their still capable to release new units from their previews lineups of Bold and Curve series. For example this Blackberry Curve 9360 is out now at 16,990. I’ve been a blackberry user and I have to say that the pricing is ridiculous. The only significant upgrade that I can see from the Blackberry 9360 is the thin form factor and the OS7 (Which I don’t know yet if the OS upgrade is good).

MSI’s continuous release of affordable tablets are sure deal for techy filipinos looking for something to buy for the upcoming holidays.
