HP DM1 forgotten yet kicking with LTE upgrade

by Kyle on July 29, 2011

HP DM1

I almost forgot about the HP DM1 till now that I’ve heard it’s going to get an LTE upgrade. I’ve seen the HP dm1 before and forgot to blog about this one due to busy schedule. This netbook has specs pretty similar to Toshiba c640, Lenovo G475 and ASUS K43u which I also blogged here. It also goes in the same price range so may have a difficulty choosing on which brand to pick.

PSP Vita or Playstation Vita

by Kyle on July 29, 2011

playstation vita

No good news for Playstation Vita as of the moment – I’ve been hopping on the interwebs for some good news about this handheld but couldn’t find some interesting leads on when will this be released or when  Playstation vita will start mass production. What I know so far is that there’s the 3G and WiFi models to be released and that’s good to know since that would mean good online support incorporated on the games. I also noticed that Playstation Vita is also popularly known for PSP Vita which makes me think again, should Sony rename their product again?

by Kyle on July 28, 2011

Do you still remember godswar online on Facebook? I blogged about it a couple of months back because it’s known to be an MMO running on your Desktop which was ported to Facebook. Now, it’s Maple Story who’s been doing the same thing just like godswar and it’s rebranded with an expansion – “MapleStory Adventures”.

by Kyle on July 27, 2011

Android installment

Cherry Mobile’s move on running this promo might be a good idea for the masses to taste an Android handset but the question is, will this click?.I wonder how much fuzz will this create especially that you just need a couple of cash below 1,000 Php to most of the units and you’ll have an Android handset without much problems.

Fujitsu Toshiba IS12T will debut WP7 Mango

by Kyle on July 27, 2011

A surprising news indeed, two of the popular tech manufacturers in Japan will be releasing it’s very first Windows Phone 7 Mango Phone. But what’s cool about this is the end product will carry the two names, ending up with Fujitsu Toshiba IS12T. I maybe wrong with this as the two might be long partners specializing in different niches. We all know how active Toshiba and Fujitsu (Lifebooks) in the local market so there might be a possibility of the IS12T to be released here.

Get Back the old Facebook Chat

by Kyle on July 24, 2011

The new facebook chat (sidebar) was not well received by the public and for some reason there’s no tweak yet that would get back the old interface. I myself, felt the difference of the new facebook messenger to the old facebook chat, and I have to say that I’m against to the newly designed chat box. So what I did is to compile a few alternatives to keep you connected with your friends with the same functionality of the old facebook chat.

Facebook Comments now revamped

by Kyle on July 22, 2011

facebook video commentsSo this was a delight at last, Facebook comments can now process your links to transform it to videos and pictures if you provide the direct source in the comments box. Pretty cool to highlight your discussions and save you the trouble in opening a new window/tab just to see what the link is all about. I just tested it right now and it works pretty well, my only gripes  about this one is that videos are not optimize to play in it’s best resolution and will look terribly small when played.

Looking for a good tablet that solves your input problem? Now’s the time to get the Asus Eee Pad Transformer if you have 23,000 Php (without the keyboard dock) to burn as this will be available to select Malls in the Metro. I know iPad is good but Asus Eee Pad will surely be the best thing around if you’re missing your keyboard and you find hard typing flat on your desk.

MSi x370 now available in the Philippines

by Kyle on July 19, 2011

msi x370

The MSi x370 are one of those notebooks running AMDs e350 and you can get it at an affordable price of 23,000 Php which in my opinion another big ripoff. I was expecting that the MSi x370 will go above the 26,000 Php price range but it turned out that it will be selling for as low as this.  I haven’t seen the MSi x370 on the item lists of the popular web stores in the local market so this should be helpful if you’re looking for a cheap but decent netbook.

Alcatel One Touch Blaze – Android phone for 9,999 Php

by Kyle on July 18, 2011

Alcatel One Touch BlazeI’ve seen this phone selling here in my province and to my surprise this Alcaltel One Touch Blaze looks gorgeous in the eyes. I do not know on when the One Touch Blaze was released but I think it’s kinda new in the market as there’s little information I can find on the web about this crimsoned color buddy. The Alcatel One Touch Blaze sells for just 9,999 Php yet it deserves to be put on 12-15k range.

by Kyle on July 17, 2011

unlitxt to all networksAt last they offer this one, for power texters then maybe it’s the time to rejoice now as smart and globe is now offering unlitxt to all networks as part of their promo. The last time unlitxt to all networks was rolled out was when it’s part of the globe promo and it was just for limited amount of time. I don’t have any news about it, but it seems that this will be part of their freebies for it’s postpaid plans. And now it took a couple of months before Globe and then Smart to have a prepaid version of the service.

Nintendo 3DS sells for 12,500 locally

by Kyle on July 17, 2011

nintendo 3dsI saw it selling in the local shops in Manila and I can’t believe that it’s only priced for 12,500 with all the beautiful specs it got. I remember the days where psp’s are totally hot and it has a price tag of 18,000 Php but now you can get one for only 8,000 Php in brand new condition. But anyway, I still doubt that the 3DS will be popular here, but it will definitely be a hit if it’s cracked and could play downloaded Nintendo 3DS games. If I remember, there’s an article here about Nintendo 3ds crack which can play DS games but sadly 3DS one’s cannot. But that’s definitely one of the news pirates are waiting the moment they knew the possibilities.

Sony Xperia Active launching next month

by Kyle on July 12, 2011

Sony Xperia activeIt was introduced in CommunicAsia 2011 but I never had a chance to take a closer look at Xperia Active. It’s design looks ugly in my opinion but realizing that this phone is targeted for Active users then it made me think twice to check what this phone is capable of. Sony Xperia Active confused me at first what the term Active really means, it turns out that it’s target users is for the sporty type of people.
