I just decided to make a dedicated update page of Playstation Vita. You’ll all find all the hot news, tips and tricks, hot upcoming games, feedbacks of Sony’s flagship handheld device. I’ll still be posting up several news and information in my blog but that will also be reflected here in the dedicated page. I’ve been feeling the anticipation of local Filipino gamers so I made a wiki-like page so playstation vita users can follow.

Playstation Vita popularly known as PSP Vita and PSVita is one of the unreleased handheld models in the country. It’s predecessor the Sony PSP has been very successful here and without a doubt the most favorite handheld console in the country. There’s no release date of the Playstation Vita yet but it is expected before the year ends (2011) to achieve another groundbreaking holiday sales. Though far from it’s release date it does have some heft list of good games wherein fans are eager to get for. It’s archrival the Nintendo 3Ds is now available locally but still not in the position to match the PSP. Of course I know how Filipinos adore piracy and it could be one reason why it doesn’t get the ground yet. Playstation Vita’s improved spec is rumored to beat it’s console counterpart which is the PS3. But that’s yet to be seen once it’s released. Below’s the spec sheet of Playstation Vita and it’s still subject for change once it’s out. Playstation Vita News and Update Corner

Playstation Vita Batteries can’t be changed – Playstation Vita is said to have this feature to prevent pirates to hack the console. It’s said that one of the reasons why the PSP has been hacked is because of some vulnerabilities on the back panel.

Playstation Vita downloadable games to be a feature – PSP Vita games aside from their UMD have online counterparts which you can download at a much affordable price. There’s a catch though, the UMDs have exclusivities.

PSVita possible for delayed release – Because of the Tsunami and all the misfortunes that Japan had undertaken, Sony planned to reschedule the release of their flagship console.

Playstation Vita will miss Christmas on US and Europe – Kazuo Hirai announced that Playstation Vita will only be available in Asia (Japan) this 2011. And it will be released on early 2012.

Playstation Vita now available in the Philippines [Unofficial] – Some stores are now selling the PS Vita on the 20K – 23K Price range.
