Samsung Galaxy Y good for first time android users

by Kyle on November 4, 2011

I’m not sure if I covered Samsung Galaxy Y  on this blog and because of that I think I made a big mistake. One of my friends bought one and to my surprise Samsung Galaxy Y is really snappy. I always thought that Android Phones are laggy especially if they’re living below a 1ghz shell but the Galaxy Y is really surprising.  I swiped the interfaces in the home page and it responds without slowing down. Very snappy for a 832mhz phone.

I don’t know the reason on why is that, perhaps it’s not preloaded with apps which is one of the reason that hampers the fluidity of the phone. I’ve seen an LG Optimus one and it’s lags every time I swipe the apps screen. The 200mhz boost from a 600mhz in comparison to Optimus one could be the vitamin but heck this is surprising.

As for the price, you can purchase it at 5990 or get the plan 500 from Smart so you’ll get it free. I’ll recommend the Galaxy Y if you’re a first time android  user or a transitioning feature phone user to a smartphone one. It’s kinda small and the virtual keyboard might disappoint you but a lil bit of practice is all it takes to use the Galaxy Y Comfortable. I think I’ll get the Galaxy Y for a second phone ^^ if I have a cash to spare.
