Screencasts Software not needed, make videos using screentoaster

screentoaster If you are having some ideas on making a blog like railscasts (which I really really like) and you’ve got no place to start on how you can do some screencasting then I totally suggest Screentoaster to be the place to start in your screencasting journey. First and foremost I’ll totally vote for Screentoaster as my #1 pick in making videos in your desktop because of it’s simplicity of bringing home-brewed tutorials and videos to your readers. Unlike those available tools you’ll see on the net ScreenToaster is very simple and easy to learn. It has the basic features that you need in starting your screencast and it’s absolutely free. In Screentoaster you can add audio to your videos which is lacking to some of the free tools you’ll find on the net.

The size of the video you made is very minimal since it is in .flv format which you can covert to wmv if you have plans in doing so. You can download the videos you made after you recorded it if you want to store it in your hard drives. It offers unlimited space in storing your videos to your account and the chance to promote it to the community. The videos you made is embeddable with options of setting it to private or public, just use the embed code and you can share it to anyone you like. You can also setup the space in which part of the screen can be recorded so you’ll have no worries to the clutters of your desktop. The only problem that I see with Screen Toaster is that the youtube migration of your videos can only be done once you finished making the video and you’ve got no opportunity of migrating it if the video is stored in your account. But still you can enjoy the full features the site offers absolutely free. Screentoaster is not an application that you can download, you can enjoy the things mentioned by visiting the Screen Toaster’s site and signup for an account.
