KTouch W700 beautifully crafted Android phone

I’m not just over reacting, it’s just the truth, never heard of KTouch W700 before and now it’s part of the watch list that I wanted to arrive here in the Philippines. An Android phone so beautiful you can’t just believe it’s Chinese made. Seen this one on their page but I suffered understanding the specs since it’s written in Chinese, good thing Google translate comes handy at a time like this. =)

First it’s Huawei Ideos u8150 which comes cheap in Globe and is one of the truly called budget phones for the masses and it’s good if this KTouch W700 would follow Huawei’s footsteps as the specs of the W700 is truly admirable. (Copy Pasted here with edits)

It’s highly possible that it won’t be available in local market. But for the brighter side, Huawei’s still there will it’s Ideos X5 gearing up for the market.

Angry Nerds gets easy Marketing

Update 05/13/2011: You can now play Angry birds on any browser instead of wasting angry birds download you’ll find on the net.

It’s going to be Angry Birds meets Angry Nerds. The bird-slinging popular game of Rovio is crowned to be the most popular game this 2010 because of it’s simplicity. And it’s not surprising to see a cloned game and get instant popularity because of it’s funny name. Haven’t downloaded this one so I can’t judge how the gameplay fairs compared to Angrybirds. Perhaps will be seeing more clones when this one propelled with revenues that matched the original game.

Anyway this is not an April Fools Joke so if you want to download this game then you can proceed here if you own an iPhone or Android device. Atlassian’s specialty comes from developing enterprise software products so the concept of Angry Nerds has a geeky mindset (squishing bugs). If this game proves to be more entertaining than Angry Birds then Rovio should start developing a counter agent to maintain it’s top spot, again hands down to Atlassian for such a wacky idea.

Kyocera-Echo’s first Dual Screen Android Smartphone

Kyocera’s Echo may not come in the Philippines but it’s still worth a look because it’s one of the first android Smartphone with dual screen. It may surprise on what functionality it brings because of the dual screen, but aside from a much bigger display it also adds appeal if you’ll be walking with it across the street. Duality in the field of IT brings a much better performance if you associate it into hardware and it seems that Kyocera is proving something that this may work if it’s integrated into display. So far I haven’t seen anyone with dual screen smartphone similar to Echo, so this may be the first smartphone in the market which has the dual screen display. If you happen to know a dual screen smartphone then please hit the comment section to update this post. So far the specs is impressive if you’ll be comparing it to mainstream phones.

The Two 3.5″ display (480 X 800) is definitely it’s bread and butter. Running under a 1ghz would be more than enough to play youtube videos if you’re bored with your facebook account. I still don’t know if it’s upgradeable to 2.3 Gingerbread update since it’s using the current Android 2.2 release. Price for the Echo is $199 and is only available on Sprint (Sorry Philippines). If you’re planning to buy a smartphone anyway then perhaps the LG Optimus Series or the new release of Samsung Galaxy Ace would interest you. Android Developers can now add the latest android 2.0 in their SDK toolkit by using the SDK manager. Android 2.0 now supports MAC developers for their MAC OS X 10.6 snowleopard and ADT version 0.9.4 for Eclipse IDE users. If you are totally new in Android development don’t forget to download the Android SDK and then use the SDK Manager to add the Android SDK Tools, revision 3. Contacts and accounts
