Here goes another AMD Fusion powered netbook taking the HP dm1z lineup. As usual HP has mastered their great form factor on their netbooks which has the slightly curved and greatly (non)textured sexy beast. It’s an 11.6″ ultraportable which is my perfect choice of size in my own opinion. Have a netbook with the same size and I can say that 11-12 inchers are just great for portability without suffering eye strain. HP dm1z clocks with 1.6ghz dual core APU which makes it perfect for some semi intensive work. HP dm1z may be a great competitor for Acer’s Aspire One 522 and the currently unreleased msi wind u270 which are both APU powered as well.

HP dm1z is bundled with Windows 7 Home Premium and has the options to fully customize the netbook. If you want the basic setup, price starts for $449.99 which is roughly 20,0250Php if you will order via HP Store online and you can rev it up with your choice of specifications up to $529.99 ( 24,000Php). By name, it’s available in the Philippines but it doesn’t sport the APU powered processor but goes with AMD’s Athlon II Neo K125 running 1.7Ghz dual core line which is available in local online stores. We’ll be posting some details upon it’s official release here having the APU e350 processor. Here’s the full specs of HP dm1z from hp.

If you are one of the customers who purchased an Aspire Laptop which where manufactured before September 15 then you might be probably experiencing some overheat problems with your laptop. Affected units involve aspire series specifically AS3410, AS3810T, AS3810TG, AS3810TZ and AS3810TZG. Acer made a site to check if your laptop is one of the defective ones which you can check here. Here’s the voluntary safety recall from the said site.

As a result, the unitҳ case may become deformed and the system may malfunction.
