If you are having some ideas on making a blog like railscasts (which I really really like) and you’ve got no place to start on how you can do some screencasting then I totally suggest Screentoaster to be the place to start in your screencasting journey. First and foremost I’ll totally vote for Screentoaster as my #1 pick in making videos in your desktop because of it’s simplicity of bringing home-brewed tutorials and videos to your readers. Unlike those available tools you’ll see on the net ScreenToaster is very simple and easy to learn. It has the basic features that you need in starting your screencast and it’s absolutely free. In Screentoaster you can add audio to your videos which is lacking to some of the free tools you’ll find on the net.
