It’s been a while since I updated my blog because of my hectic schedule at work. And now that I have the time to update it because of the holidays, I made it a point to write some decent articles that might help my fellow readers to keep their loyalty(if there’s any) in visiting my humble page book of information.Anyway, my blogging category is not that rich enough and I might as well add this special autoblogging platform info if you’re interested in carrying out blackhat methods.

If you’re a problogger I know you stumbled the word auto-blogging. The word is really popular and the technique is a favorite to lazy bums out there waiting for their wallets to fatten up. If you do not know auto-blogging, it’s a method in which you make a lot of blogs with the help of a tool. This tool or tools helps the webmaster update their blogs with their favorite advertising program running in the internals of their pages. This results to less effort but more money that comes in return making it a favorite choice of earning money online.

The video above describes what blogsense is capable of in automating your blogs. I’ve heard good feedback about this tool but never used it even once. It’s running in version 4 now and I believe the tool is now gaining momentum to blogistas and webmasters out there using the dark arts of blogging. Anyway If you have used the tool kindly leave a comment on what you think about this platform and give as insights on how it performs in your toolbox.

For additional info, autoblogging is not an easy job maintaining a reputable content in your blog. Otherwise if your tool failed in delivering a nicely made content then you’ll suffer the consequences of getting your blog trashed…

Update: Just discovered a new problem… I’m receiving 0 visits when using this theme but when I change my theme it returns back to normal so I’ll not use my own custom theme until i fully fix the problem

Update: Just solved a major problem with my rss feed using a plugin. I accidentally edited some files in functions.php that caused my rss feed to malfunction

Update: It seems that I’m having problem with my blog feed

If you’re reading this article then you’ll be seeing a major difference in Technokyle’s look. Although digital nature’s mystique theme looked really good in my blog, I have to make a signature by making my very own custom theme. It took me 4 drafts in what kind of theme color and site layout I’ll be using and I’m fully satisfied now with it’s simplistic and semi-professional feel.

I’ve enjoyed a lot designing my theme and I have to give a thousand “thank yous” to Small Potato’s well written guide in making WordPress theme. It’s very brief and straight to the point, perfect for newbies and starters who don’t have experience in making a WordPress theme. Making a WordPress theme is really easy if you just want to have a theme with basic functionality . But if you’ll be working with a theme for public release then you have to dig deeper with wordpress codex.I’m planning to release a wordpress theme for the public so I’ll be busy again for the coming weeks.

I’ll be updating some blog elements and details like in depth description with my about page, blog policies and pages. For the readers of my blog I have to say thanks for the time spent reading my articles. I’ll be working hard with more SEO work and Quality Articles. I’m still bad with my grammar but I think I’ve improved a lot compared to my previous works. For those who want to make their own custom theme, try following small potato’s guide and if you knew the codex you can take a look at this tool. Thank you very much for your support. ^^

I have to admit that it’s too late when I discovered this tool in making my own custom theme which is almost finished. If you’ve been using a theme from the wordpress archive of downloadable themes, I highly suggest that you make your own theme to establish your identity. Templatr is a web application that makes it easy for you create a solid foundation in making your own wordpress theme. Although Theme Frameworks are good choice in making one, a template made by Templatr is not that bad too. It’s much simpler and you can dictate what kind of layout you want to implement. If you’ll be making a wordpress theme from scratch I highly recommend Templatr in making your preferred layout.

If you’ve decided to make your own custom made wordpress theme you can check out small potato’s tutorial. I started making my own theme based from small potato’s wordpress theme creation series which is the best tutorial if you’re a complete beginner with no idea on how wordpress themes are made. And lastly you need some css php and html background to easily grasp the ideas but if you don’t have any of those skills you don’t need to worry since the tutorial is meant for a complete beginner.Templatr is meant for theme developers with basic knowledge in wordpress theme creation. If you don’t have any idea on how to make a wordpress theme then this thing is not for you. The core idea behind this is that you’ll have a solid foundation in creating a layout so that if you’ll pursue advance customizations with it, then it will be much easier to tweak the theme without accidentally deleting important code snippets.

With Templatr you’ll just follow 3 easy steps and your theme is just a click away for download. What’s really cool about Templatr is that you can choose what kind of layout you want so you’ll work with “floats” in css in a short period of time. There are 24 layouts to choose from which covers almost all popular theme styles around. After you made a choice of what template to use you can upload some images which you want to use to style your theme. Everything is taken care of, from divs and stylesheet which is automatically generated when you download the theme. Once you upload the images, you can use the designer to help you get familiar with the assigned name of divs and classes. It is found above the main page preview with a list of dropdown forms to choose the part of the page you want to customize. And of course you can click the download link once you’re satisfied with your own design. ^^

Blogspot and WordPress.org are two blogging platforms that dominates the blogosphere today. If you’re one of the people who wants to venture in the blogging industry, chances are you’ll be using any of these two. If you’re really into serious blogging, a good understanding of the two platforms is important to help you decide what platform fits you the most.

If there are three words I’ll choose in describing what blogger(blogspot) platform is, that would be “built for beginners”. Blogger aka Blogspot is the best choice if you are completely new to blogging. That is because blogger is very easy to use and you can easily familiarize the interface in approximately 1 day. If you’ll be using wordpress for the first time, you’ll be lost with some of the functionalities. Although wordpress has a very easy learning curve, blogger still beats wordpress in terms of user-friendliness. Blogspot community are helpful too, and you can easily find useful resources if you have some ideas on what blogspot gigs you want to implement in your blog. The choice of themes is not a problem anymore, there are available sites in which you can download beautiful themes for free. Blogspot blogs are also widgetized and you can simply alter the components of your blog in a drag and drop manner. But what’s really good about blogspot is that you have unlimited space and bandwith that you can use all for free. You can also mask the default blogspot adresss by buying your own domain name.

Beyond this user-friendliness and ease of use blogspot blogs still lack finesse compared to wordpress. You cannot make custom pages and you have too much code interactions if you want to do something extraordinary with your blog. That means the level of customization has it’s limit. Blogspot blogs do not comply to W3C rules too, I’ve never seen a fully developed blog that complies to W3C standards. There’s too much clutter in the code and scaling your blogger blog is next to impossible. And one thing I hate about blogspot is the editor, even though Google have updated the old editor the new one is still not that good compared to wordpress.

If “Built for beginners” is the best way to describe blogger then WordPress is “Meant for hardcore bloggers”. I’ve been to blogger platform before and migrated to WordPress and I’m happy that I did. At first I was at lost in using the WordPress interface since I’m used to the old blogspot way. But in a matter of days (one and a half), It seems that I totally mastered it. Flexibility and versatility is one thing I love about WordPress, you can do so much customizations with it with the help of plugins. You can just do any thing you’ve imagined by just using plugins. In the long, running a wordpress blog is very easy to maintain. The choice of themes are to the max, at the time of this writing there’s 1000+ themes available in wordpress site and there’s so much more aside from the main site. If you really value professionalism then wordpress is the right choice for you.

Well you just have to pay a little to your self-hosted wordpress blog to run. From what I know the most cheap hosting siteoffers unlimited space and bandwith at a cost of $4($3.95) per month. If you’re in great luck you can look for some hosting promotions that could give you big discount. I’ve posted an article here in which I stumbled a $10 value of webhosting offering unlimited space and bandwith for a year of hosting. WordPress.com offers unlimited space and bandwitdh but the functionality is very limited if you’ll compare it to a self-hosted one. The only one thing that bothers me is that why’s wordpress do not have the CAPTCHA functionality to their commenting system. Although Akismet really works for SPAM protection It’s still uncomfortable in my part without a built in CAPTCHA functionality.
