Youtube’s feature of adding captions to user videos made it possible to easily integrate translations. Captions also make you understand more about the video if there are some problems to the sound and audio of the media. Today, google launched a system to make it easier for you to add captions without really adding captions manually. Machine-Generated Captions are now available to select channels including Google, Youtube, National Geographic,  MIT and UCLA. This machine generated captions use thesame speech-to-text algorithms found in Google voice.

Orbit Downloader – I’ve been using orbit downloader ever since i discovered it a couple of years back. It’s one of the most useful applications if you’re a hardcore internet surfer because it works like magic. Orbit serves you with two essential tasks, one is that it boosts your downloading speed and you can download live streaming videos from the internet. Most people have not discovered the integrated grab++ tool in orbit in which they can use to download live videos. When you want to download a streaming video from other sites you have to open grab++ tool by right clicking the orbit icon in the system tray and opening grab++ tool. Once opened go to the site where you found the video and play it. The lists in the grab++ window will be enabled where you can see the videos playing in the page. Note: You have to enable the grab++ window before you start playing the video in order to update the list. You can also enable the “Get It” button where you can just hover in the playing video and you’ll be provided by a download link instantly by pressing “Get It” button. The Get It button usually don’t work but sometimes it does.

Ant Toolbar - Ant toolbar is another great tool which you can add to Firefox and Internet Explorer. You can instantly play the videos that you have downloaded using Ant Toolbar. Windows media player cannot play .flv videos so this integrated player will allow you to play your downloaded videos without having to find an external player. But if you wish to use another video player or already have one installed, you are free to do so. The Ant addon doesn’t modify any file associations.
